Club open hours are;Thurs 7.30pm-10.30pm, Fri 5pm-12pm & Sun 2.30pm-9pm.Visitors are welcome(visitors fee $2,card holding membersof ANY fishing club have free entry ).Friday night dinners 5pm-7pm.
Friday dinners are available to members of the public($2 visitors fee apply to all adults not affiliated with any fishing club, children welcome but MUST vacate premises by 7pm)Choice of 2 or 3 mains .Prices-Adults -$7 & Children-$3 .Meals vary every week.Ring us on the night for menu.
Anybody is welcome to enter our club comps.Simply contact Rick for details of when they are being held.Except for special comps,the entry fee is $10 per angler.All monies received are returned to fishers.{Snapper-60% of takings,Scale fish-25% & ticket prize-15%.Sharks,Barracoutas & Stingrays not eligible for contest.All fish MUST be caught within the inner Manukau Harbour, (a straight line between tghe Nine pins and South Head Lighthouse) & MUST be weighed in at next available weigh-in times. On days when the club isn't open for business, it will be open between the hours of 6pm & 7pm for the purpose of weigh-ins only.Typical contest runs from midnight Fri -7 pm Sunday,( longer on long weekends)All meetings held at clubrooms.
The L.F.C. takes a strong stance in preserving our fish stocks ,therefore we have set our own limits on fish eligible for entry in our comps:-MINIMUM weight for ALL fish--750gms (average just legal Snapper approx 600 gms & yes that DOES include Kahawai). MINIMUM weight for Kingfish is 5 kgs.
