Welcome to the
Oakura Surfcasting & Kayak Fishing Club
The Club was established in may of 2001 by a group of locals; given the growing public interest, Kayak Fishing was incorporated into the Club in October of 2005 and the Club changed its name to incorporated the new section.
Surfcasters don’t compete against Kayak fishers, the are separate sections.
Basically fish that you catch, you record with one of our 2 Club Weighmasters are eligible for points these get tallied up each month and are totaled at the end of may each year
Many points can be accumulated, trophies & awards are won by members at the end of each season.
