About the Club

Welcome to the Hibiscus Kayak Fishing Club Web Site.

We started the club back in March 2006 and the fish have been afraid of us ever-since.  It seems they must move away when we go fishing  as we can't catch many!

We meet at Johnson's Outdoor Watercraft in Silverdale every second Wednesday of the month at 7 pm. (Ocean Kayak factory showroom at 2 Furnace Place, Silverdale)

We have at least one local Saturday and/or one local Sunday inshore competition (generally well within 2 hours of the bridge) every month and we have about 8 weekend away comps to say the Coromandel, up North, even the Naki every year.

We cater for beginners, weekend warriors, and pro’s. If you want a group to fish wish, we want you!
